![]() ![]() ![]() I'd really rather not need to dual boot win 7 and win 8.1 just to use the cable. ![]() I contacted Ubisoft (maker of the game Rocksmith) and they said it was a driver issue and I haven't received any more help. I'm not really sure where to go from here. I tested all my usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 ports and they all work with my mouse, keyboard, and flash drive. The USB to guitar adapter that comes with the game is probably a very (very) basic audio interface that is designed to only receive a basic signal from your guitar so it won't be amplifying it or anything to make a usable signal, it is looking only for the frequency of the sounds which it doesn't need good quality for. Disabled selected powering in power options + made a new high performance profileĮvery other usb device I have/try works.Tried it on win 7 with same pc and it worked fine.Formatted ssd and did a fresh install of win 8.1.Manually uninstalling the device, and reinstalling.I installed win 7 64x on an older hdd and put it in my pc and the cable was recognized right away and was usable. Now, like I said, this is only on win 8.1 64x. There is also a yellow exclamation mark on the device. I'm trying to connect my Rocksmith Realtone cable (usb audio) to a usb port on my pc and whenI right click the "Usb audio device) in device manager, this pops up under properties. Let me start off by saying that my problem is specific to only windows 8.1 64x and deals with usb devices.
